ADVICE TO HELP YOUR MOVE GO SMOOTHLY AND AVOID ANY DAMAGES

• When moving home try to get several quotes and choose the company that you have the most confidence in.
• Book your removals company as soon as you know the date you are going to move this will avoid disappointment and having to change your date.
• De-clutter your home, its amazing how many things we keep but never use.
• Pack away small items, such as ornaments and pictures. Pack all the clothes you have'nt worn for several weeks.
• Buy or hire (from your removals company) wardrobe boxes. You can transfer the contents of your wardrobe directly into these without having to take them off the coat hangers.
• Buy soft packing paper to wrap your fragile items in. If using newspaper, it can leave black print on your plates and ornaments and you will have to wash them when they are unpacked at your new home.
• Pack as much bubble wrap as possible into your box as this will cushion the contents during transit and will avoid damages.  
• Arrange any storage before your move. Pay in advance and ask for a discount.Your removals company can arrange for the transfer of your goods to storage.
